The company, which last week pre-released some Q3 earnings results and raised full-year guidance, reported net profit surged to $3.05B from $521M and revenues rose to $15.76B from $12.13B in the year-earlier quarter, including revenues in its ocean business jumped to $11.11B from $7.9B a year ago, as freight rates rose 54% Y/Y and volumes increased just 0.3%. Q3 EBITDA of $4.8B and underlying EBIT of $3.3B were in line with pre-released guidance. Last week, Maersk (OTCPK:AMKBF) (OTCPK:AMKBY) raised FY 2024 guidance for the fourth time this year, seeing underlying EBITDA of $11B-$11.5B, underlying EBIT of $5.2B-$5.7B, and free cash flow of at least $3B, with the global container market expected to grow ~6% this year.
