Paramount Global Gamco Investors lowered its stake in the media firm to 4,812,860 shares. Gamco Investors sold a net of 35,398 Paramount Global shares from Aug. 28 through Oct. 25 at prices ranging from $21.70 to $22.17 each.
On Oct. 25, Gamco Investors issued a press release detailing its belief that Paramount's board of directors should review Project Rise Partners' $13.5 billion cash offer for the company, which includes up to $5 billion in debt restructuring. Paramount announced a definitive agreement with Skydance in early July to merge, in a deal valued at more than $8 billion.
Following the latest sales, Gamco Investors continues to own 11.8% of Paramount's outstanding stock. Shares of Paramount Global have lost about 25% during the year.
Increases in Holdings
Dynavax Technologies Deep Track Capital increased its stake in the biopharmaceutical firm to 17,791,486 shares. Deep Track Capital did so through the purchase of 5,265,000 Dynavax shares on the open market on Oct. 22 at a price of $10.99 each.
Following the purchases, Deep Track Capital now owns 13.6% of Dynavax Technologies' outstanding stock. Shares of Dynavax have slipped about 15% so far in 2024.
PBF Energy Carlos Slim increased his holdings in the petroleum refiner to 24,951,498 shares. The Mexican billionaire purchased 1,489,100 PBF Energy shares from Oct. 15 through Oct. 24 at prices ranging from $31.58 to $32 each.
Following the latest purchases, Slim now owns 21.3% of PBF Energy's outstanding stock. Shares have lost about 35% year to date.
Decreases in Holdings
Bath & Body Works Third Point lowered its stake in the retailer of personal care and home fragrances to eight million shares. Third Point did so through the net sale of 3,984,264 Bath & Body Works shares from Aug. 30 through Oct. 25 at prices ranging from $30 to $32.54 each.
Following the latest sales, Third Point owned 3.7% of Bath & Body Works' outstanding stock, placing it below the 5% threshold which would require it to report further Bath & Body Works sales. Shares of Bath & Body Works have lost roughly a third of their value in 2024.
Janux Therapeutics Avalon Ventures XI decreased its stake in the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company to 4,090,318 shares. Avalon Ventures recently sold 594,152 Janux Therapeutics shares over Oct. 23 and 24 at prices ranging from $50.10 to $53.71 each. Avalon Ventures previously sold 2,160,125 Janux Therapeutics shares from Sept. 26 through Oct. 21 at prices ranging from $44.75 to $53 each.
Following the sales, Avalon Ventures continues to own 7.8% of Janux Therapeutics' outstanding stock. Shares have rocketed some 400% in 2024.
