Hong Kong Shares Fall 2.2%, Weighed by Tech Stocks -- Market Talk

0834 GMT - Hong Kong shares ended lower, with the Hang Seng Index dropping 2.2% to 20538.38. Tech stocks led declines, with Lenovo falling 4.6% and JD.com was 4.2% lower. Alibaba declined 4.1%. The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 2.5% to 4574.50. Among the few gainers, Zhongsheng Group rose 3.4% and WuXi AppTec added 2.6%. Amid the prospect of a Trump 2.0 scenario where Republicans secure control of Congress and the White House, promised tariffs on imports to the U.S., especially from China, are likely to happen, said Ole S.
