Chip Stocks Rise Amid Likely Trump Win -- Market Talk

0958 GMT - Shares of major U.S. chip stocks edged higher in Wednesday premarket trading as Trump nears the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election. Nvidia, Intel and Advanced Micro Devices shares are up 1.3%, 3.8% and 1.2%, respectively, in premarket exchanges. Semiconductor stocks are also up in Europe. STMicroelectronics trades 2.8% higher in Paris, while Germany's Infineon Technologies is up 0.2%. In the Netherlands, ASML Holding is up 1%. Smaller rival ASM International is up 0.2%.
