Kiu Hung International (HKG:0381) has named academician Duan Yucong as the chief scientist of its artificial intelligence laboratory effective Monday, a same-day bourse filing said.

The new chief scientist will oversee the integration and expansion of the firm's new AI content track with its business, putting together a diversified product portfolio, and identifying partners and new business model upgrading opportunities.

Duan is a distinguished fellow of the Academy of Technological and Engineering Sciences (ATE), as well as the chairman of the World Artificial Consciousness Association.
