Most major digital assets advanced Wednesday with bitcoin (BTC-USD) hitting an all-time high above $76,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks 126 digital assets, soared 10.1% in the past 24 hours, while Wall Street also rallied to record highs following Donald Trump's victory in Tuesday's US presidential election.
Bitcoin set a new high at $76,460. The most popular cryptocurrency was 9.7% higher at $76,086 late afternoon Wednesday, with a 24-hour trading volume of $116.75 billion, up 144.4%, according to CoinMarketCap data.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset, climbed 11.1% to $2,694.
BNB (BNB-USD), the third-largest digital asset by market value excluding stablecoins, rose 4.5%, while Solana (SOL-USD), the fourth-largest, soared 12.4%.
XRP (XRP-USD) was up 5.6%, Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) surged 15.4%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 7.1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield closed at 4.426%, up from Tuesday's close of 4.289%, while the five-year yield closed at 4.272%, up from 4.17%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry increased 8.4% in the past 24 hours to $2.51 trillion. Total trading volume surged 121.9% to $213.41 billion.
