Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels' (HKG:0045) third-quarter revenue per available room (RevPAR) for its Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong dropped to HK$2,144 from HK$2,489 a year prior.
However, RevPAR for other Asian locations rose to HK$1,930 from HK$1,744 a year earlier, while that for US and European locations grew to HK$6,653 from HK$4,796.
Occupancy rates for its Hong Kong locations swelled to 41% from 38% in the year-ago period, while the rates for its other Asian locations increased to 58% from 54%.
Occupancy rates in the US and Europe grew to 65% from 56%.
Shares of the hotel operator closed 2% higher on Tuesday.
