Defense Companies Gain After Trump Victory -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-06 20:55

0755 ET - Investors seem to be liking defense contractor prospects under a second Trump presidency. Lockheed Martin, RTX, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Huntington Ingalls, L3Harris Technologies, Howmet Aerospace, TransDigm Group and Leidos Holdings are all higher in premarket trading. Trump has said he would fully support Israel in the war in Gaza. The Biden administration earlier this year paused certain shipments of arms to Israel as concerns mount over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, though most weapons shipments have continued.
