0912 GMT - The Philippines economic growth likely slowed in 3Q, analysts say. The median forecast of nine economists polled by The Wall Street Journal is for GDP growth of 5.7% on year in 3Q versus 6.3% in 2Q. Barclays economists expect tight monetary conditions to have weighed on activity, with household consumption decelerating. HSBC economists note that though the central bank has starting cutting rates, monetary policy remains restrictive. The HSBC team expects to see moderation in public spending. GDP data for the July-September period are due Thursday. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
