Prudential PLC's nine-month sales rose on strong growth seen in key markets including mainland China, Hong Kong and some Southeast Asian regions.
The insurance and investment business said Wednesday that its APE sales -- a measure that comprises the aggregate of annualized regular premiums and a 10th of single premiums on new business written during the year for all insurance products -- rose 5% to $4.64 billion.
The insurer's business has seen robust growth since the lifting of pandemic restrictions in China and Hong Kong in early 2023.
Prudential PLC said it is on track to achieve its new business profit growth trajectory of 9%-13% for 2024.
New business profit rose 10% to $2.35 billion, which it attributed to its multimarket, multichannel strategy.
