Airbus's Aircraft Delivery Target Looks Challenging -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-07

1526 GMT - Airbus's goal to deliver about 770 aircraft this year looks increasingly challenging, RBC Capital Markets analysts write in a note. The European plane maker dispatched 62 aircraft last month, taking this year's total deliveries to 559 planes. Airbus would need to deliver an average of 106 aircraft in each November and December to hit its target, the analysts say. "Considering the ongoing supply chain challenges, we were surprised Airbus did not use the 3Q24 earnings release as an opportunity to lower the guidance." Airbus shares trade 1.7% higher at 144.76 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
