Zentek's Triera Unit Wins $1.1 Million Bird Flue Vaccine Development Contract From Canadian Government

Zentek (ZTEK) said Wednesday its Triera unit has won a $1.1 million research and development contract through the Canadian government's Innovative Solutions Canada program.

The company has been tasked to create an H5N1 bird flu vaccine within six months, with the testing phase due to be carried out at McMaster University's Miller Laboratory, the company said.

Testing partners for the project include Health Emergency Readiness Canada and Canada's Department of National Defence's Defence Research and Development Canada, it added.

The company's shares were down nearly 7.4% in recent Wednesday trading.
