Nano Nuclear Energy (NNE) said Wednesday it is collaborating with LIS Technologies for domestic uranium enrichment in the US and to expand fuel fabrication capabilities.
Nano said it invested $2 million in LIS Technologies' seed funding round and agreed to work on advancing its enrichment technology as part of the collaboration.
Under the deal, Nano will also develop deconversion and fuel fabrication facilities as part of the support capabilities for LIS Technologies' uranium hexafluoride.
LIS Technologies will provide uranium hexafluoride fuel for Nano's portable microreactors in development and for future sale to third parties, according to the nuclear energy company.
