1016 ET - Limited-time promotions and standard deals aren't working in this competitive environment as restaurants across the board push new offers, Dine Brands Global executives say in an earnings call. "We can no longer rely on what worked so well for us in the past," Applebee's president Tony Moralejo says. Applebee's is looking to adopt more dinner deals at specific prices that will be ongoing, as competitor Chili's has done. Applebee's 3Q same-store sales sank 5.9%, but executives say they've seen some better momentum in their brands in 4Q. (heather.haddon@wsj.com; @heatherhaddon)
