Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund (TYO:9284) reported a shortfall in its solar power generation for October, achieving 16.14 million kWh, or 76.52% of the forecast, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The weak performance was attributed to low irradiance and curtailment issues across several plants, including the CS Minano-machi and CS Hiji-machi Dai-ni facilities.
As a result, the fund will receive 2% of its monthly rent from lessees due to the underperformance.
For the month, the fund's total forecast generation was 21.10 million kWh. Despite the shortfall, the total power generation for the fiscal year, as of October, reached 93.77 million kWh, with a CO2 reduction of 40.92 million kg-CO2.
