Highlights on the earnings calendar will include results from Live Nation Entertainment on Monday, then Home Depot, Shopify, Spotify Technology, Occidental Petroleum, Instacart-parent Maplebear, and SoftBank Group on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Cisco Systems and Under Armour will report. Walt Disney, Applied Materials, and Sony go on Thursday, then Alibaba Group closes the week on Friday.
The main economic data event of the week will be the release of the October consumer price index by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Wednesday. Economists' consensus estimate calls for a 2.5% increase from a year earlier.
On Thursday, the BLS will report the producer price index for October. The Census Bureau then publishes October retail sales on Friday.
Powell will take part in a moderated discussion at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas on Thursday afternoon. His remarks come a week after the central bank lowered its interest-rate target by a quarter of a percentage point.

Wednesday, 11/13
Cisco, Nu Holdings, Under Armour, and Tower Semiconductor are expected to publish quarterly results.
The BLS releases the consumer price index for October. Economists surveyed by FactSet project the overall index to increase by 2.5% year over year, compared with 2.4% in September. The core index, which excludes food and energy prices, is expected to rise by 3.3%, matching September's gain.
Thursday, 11/14
Walt Disney headlines the week's earnings reports. Investors will seek updates on the company's Disney+ streaming service and parks division, and monitor for new developments in CEO Bob Iger's succession plan. The company announced in October that it will target 2026 to find his replacement.
Applied Materials, Sony, JD.com, Talen Energy, NetEase, and Dillard's also release results.
The BLS releases the producer price index for October. Economists surveyed by FactSet expect the index to rise by 2.3% in October, versus 1.8% in September.
