On the revenue side, three companies exceeded revenue expectation, while three companies trailed estimates. Below are the latest quarterly reports from some of the key players, which reported results this week: Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) posted mixed results for its third quarter and the media conglomerate continued to look for ways to improve value for its best-in-class assets. The stock closed nearly 12% higher on Thursday. Game publisher Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO) reported a beat for its key metrics in its second-quarter earnings, helped in part by continued strength of the Grand Theft Auto and Borderlands franchises. Total net bookings rose by 2% to $1.47B for the quarter. Meanwhile, investors were disappointed after Tinder parent Match Group (MTCH) guided lower for the current quarter, while missing on revenue consensus and marginally beating profit estimates in its third quarter report.
