Market Chatter: KT SAT Launches Koreasat-6A via SpaceX

KT's (KRX:030200) satellite division KT SAT launched its new geostationary communications satellite, Koreasat-6A, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Florida early Tuesday, The Korea Times reported the same day.

The satellite will begin serving the government, military, and broadcasters next year following in-orbit testing. This launch is KT SAT's first in seven years, with the last being Koreasat 5A and Koreasat 7 in 2017.

Shares of KT fell nearly 2% in recent trade on Tuesday.
