Heineken said it will invest 45 million euros ($47.9 million) to build a global research and development center in the Netherlands.
The Dutch brewer on Tuesday said the new center in Zoeterwoude will open in the middle of 2025 and focus on improving existing products and processes, as well as developing new products.
The company said the new center will be the key of its mid- and long-term growth strategy.
"This center opens new possibilities to optimize flavors and processes and to bring innovative products to market," Chief Executive Dolf van den Brink said.
