Coffee Holding Buys Empire Coffee Assets for $800,000

Coffee Holding (JVA) said Monday it has purchased all assets of Empire Coffee for $800,000 via a new subsidiary, Second Empire.

The acquisition covers Chester, New York-based Empire Coffee's inventory, equipment, accounts receivable, customer list, and intellectual property.

The transaction was completed on Thursday, along with a new lease agreement for Empire Coffee's property, the company said.

Shares of Coffee Holding were up 2.5% in recent Monday trading.
