South Korean steelmaker Posco (KRX:005490) concluded the construction of its silicon anode plant in Pohang, with a 550-ton annual capacity, which is enough to supply batteries for about 275,000 electric vehicles, Pulse News reported Friday.
The company plans to scale up production to 25,000 tons by 2030 on an annual basis, the report said.
Shares of Posco fell over 2% in recent trade on Monday.
