Building material company CRH said Friday it acquired Northern California aggregate supplier Dutra Materials.

CRH's acquisition will expand the company's Americas Materials Solutions business and enhance its ability to provide customers solutions in northern California. Earlier this year, the Dublin company also acquired California aggregate suppliers BoDean Company and Northgate Ready to enter the state and become more appealing to customers in the area.

"The construction market in California is one of the largest in the U.S. and presents CRH with attractive opportunities for continued growth," said Scott Parson, president of the company's Americas Materials Solutions business.
