Moderna (MRNA), Novavax (NVAX) and Pfizer (PFE) shares fell in Friday's premarket activity following losses on Thursday after US president-elect Donald Trump nominated longtime anti-vaccination activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
Shares of Moderna were down more than 2% pre-bell after closing down 5.6% Thursday. Novavax was down almost 2% premarket after falling 7% on Thursday. Pfizer, with a more diverse portfolio of offerings, was down less than 1% pre-bell, after declining 2.6% a day earlier.
Kennedy has opposed childhood vaccinations and has spoken out against vaccines, news outlets reported.
