Golden-Agri Resources' (SGX:E5H) net profit attributable to owners fell 12% to $220 million in the first nine months of the year, from $250 million in the year-ago period, according to a late Thursday bourse disclosure.
The company attributed the drop in profit to higher financial expenses and greater income tax expenses.
The Singaporean palm oil company's revenue, however, rose 8% year on year to $7.90 billion from 7.32 billion, due to a slight increase in average prices of crude palm oil.
EBITDA for the reporting period also rose 3% year on year to $758 million from $739 million, the disclosure said.
