US stock futures are trading lower in Friday's premarket session ahead of the release of key retail sales figures.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were off 0.3%, S&P 500 futures were down 0.5%, and Nasdaq futures were 0.7% lower.
Oil prices were moving marginally lower, with front-month global benchmarks North Sea Brent crude down 0.4% at $72.30 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude declining 0.3% at $68.50 per barrel.
Monthly retail and core retail sales figures will be released at 8:30 am ET. Retail sales are expected to decelerate to 0.3% from 0.4% in September, while core retail sales are expected to decelerate to 0.3% from 0.5%, according to Bloomberg.
In equities, shares of the Arena Group (AREN) skyrocketed 252% after it reported late Thursday that it swung to a profit in Q3, which it said is its first profitable quarter ever. Beneficient's (BENF) shares soared 63% after it reported Thursday that it swung to a profit in fiscal Q2 of 2025. Greenidge Generation's (GREE) stock jumped 46% after it said Friday that a New York judge overturned the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's denial of its application for renewal of a Title V Air Permit.
On the losing side, shares of TSS, Inc. (TSSI) plunged 36% after a 1% gain on Thursday. Quantum Computing's (QUBT) shares tumbled 29% after it said late Thursday it has agreed to a registered direct offering of 16 million shares of common stock at $2.50 per share for gross proceeds of $40 million. And shares of Independent Bank Corporation (IBCP) shed 26%, adding to a slight loss the previous session.
