Burlington's 3Q Results Should Raise Sentiment -- Market Talk

Dow Jones11-15

1306 ET - Burlington Stores' 3Q results, scheduled to arrive Nov. 26, should boost consumer sentiment around the stock, UBS analysts say in a research note. Warmer-than-usual temperatures during the recent quarter have tempered investors' near-term expectations. As a result, the small earnings beat and outlook raise that the analysts expect will be a pleasant surprise. And in the event the company's 3Q results or 4Q outlook disappoints, the analysts say their "conversations with investors suggest many view BURL as a top idea for 2025," causing them to believe investors would buy on weakness and limiting a potential downside. UBS raises its price target 4% to $280 and maintains its neutral rating. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
