Ovintiv to buy Montney assets in $2.37B deal, sell Uinta assets for $2B

Ovintiv (NYSE:OVV) said Thursday it agreed to acquire 109K net acres and 70K boe/day of production in Alberta's Montney shale from Paramount Resources (OTCPK:PRMRF) for $2.37B in cash.

The deal will add ~900 total net well locations, extending its premium Montney oil
