Allegiant Travel Passenger Traffic Declines in October

MT Newswires Live11-15

Allegiant Travel (ALGT) said Friday that its preliminary total system passenger traffic for October declined by 17% year-over-year to about 1.2 million passengers.

The year-over-year drop in traffic during October was attributed to hurricanes Helene and Milton, which had an "outsized impact" on the business, the company said.

Total system available seat miles fell by 9.2% from a year earlier, while departures decreased by 9.9%, the leisure travel company said.

Allegiant's estimated average fuel cost for October was $2.52 per gallon, the company said.

Shares of Allegiant were up more than 1% in recent Friday trading.
