Unisys (UIS) and its partner Clariti said Wednesday that the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety has picked Clariti's permitting platform to replace an existing system.
Unisys will lead the implementation of the project, the companies said, adding that Unisys will work with the city to create a system to simplify the permitting and licensing process.

Unisys shares were rising 3.5% in recent trading.
