RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon said Thursday it was awarded a contract from the US Army for wireless power-beaming technology intended to supply energy to troops on battlefields.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company said it will create long-range wireless power transmitters and receivers to meet the US Army's needs for manned and unmanned systems under the Department of Defense's Operational Energy Strategy.
