NewLake Capital Partners, Inc. (OCTQX: NLCP) announced its financial results Wednesday for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2024.
The Connecticut-based company said third-quarter revenue totaled $12.6 million, representing an increase of 9.3% year-over-year.
Anthony Coniglio, NewLake's president and CEO, called quarterly financial results solid. He is optimistic regarding cannabis prospects under the new Donald Trump administration.
"With the president-elect expressing support for Adult Use, Schedule 3, and legislation that would decriminalize cannabis at the federal level, we remain optimistic about cannabis reform and the prospects for growth as we supply much-needed capital to this dynamic industry," Coniglio said in a statement.

- Funds from operations totaled $10.3 million, reflecting a 6.5% increase year-over-year.
- Adjusted funds from operations were $10.8 million, a 6.7% increase from the previous year.

- The company declared a third-quarter dividend of $0.43 per share, or $1.72 annualized, with an 84% AFFO payout ratio.
- The dividend was paid on Oct. 15, 2024, to shareholders of record as of Sept. 30, 2024.
Financial Position
- As of Sept. 30, 2024, the company had $19.8 million in cash and cash equivalents, with $12.2 million committed to building and tenant improvements.
- The company had a $7.6 million balance under its revolving credit facility and $82.4 million available to draw.
Investment Activity
- NewLake Capital acquired a cultivation property in Connecticut for roughly $ 4 million during the second quarter of 2024.
- It funded roughly $2.6 million in building and tenant improvements across four properties in the third quarter.
Tenant Challenges
- Revolutionary Clinics continued to pay 50% of its contractual rent for the third quarter, and similar payments were made in Oct.
- Calypso Enterprises failed to pay its Sept and Oct. rent, with funds applied from an escrow deposit to cover the shortfall.
NLCP Price Action
NewLake Capital's shares traded 0.03% lower at $17.23 per share after the market close on Wednesday afternoon.
