Nokia (NOK) said Wednesday that it has acquired Rapid's technology assets, including its application programming interface, and its research and development unit.
The Finnish telecommunications company said the deal will help it expand its network API products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nokia said Rapid's API includes a public marketplace where developers globally can list and monetize their own APIs and an API hub where companies can design, build, test and share APIs.
