Natural Gas Futures Rise as Heating Season Nears -- Market Talk

1503 ET - Natural gas prices ended the week with a gain as the heating season approaches. Prices rallied to begin the week on colder weather forecasts, but they had since given back most of those gains. U.S. inventories are expected to keep increasing, but the first draws of the season are in the horizon, NatGasWeather.com says, adding that demand will remain light for now. "It could be another dangerous weekend to hold contracts depending on weekend weather trends," it says. On the Nymex, the front-month contract gains 1.4%, to $2.823. It is up 6% for the week.
