Treasury Yields Slip After CPI Data -- WSJ

Dow Jones11-13

By Sam Goldfarb

Treasury yields turned lower after the consumer-price index reading was in line with expectations.

In recent trading, according to Tradeweb:

-- The yield on the 2-year note was 4.263%, versus 4.34% Tuesday.

-- The 10-year yield was 4.378%, compared with 4.43% Tuesday.

Yields climbed Tuesday ahead of the CPI report. Their declines Wednesday suggest traders had been preparing for an inflation reading higher than the consensus estimate.
