Fitch Ratings Assigns 'BBB+' Long-Term Issuer Default Rating to AMP

MT Newswires Live11-14

Fitch Ratings assigned AMP (ASX:AMP) a long-term issuer default rating (IDR) of 'BBB+' and a short-term IDR of 'F2', according to a Wednesday statement.

The assignment reflects AMP's "modest common equity double leverage and sound liquidity management," among other factors, Fitch noted.

Fitch also published a long-term IDR of 'BBB+' and a short-term IDR of 'F2' for its subsidiary, AMP Bank Limited. The outlook on the long-term IDRs is stable.
