Shanghai International Airport Logs Higher Passenger Throughput in October

Shanghai International Airport (SHA:600009) reported an increase in the number of passengers handled by two of its airports in October, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Pudong International Airport's passenger throughput rose 23% year over year to 6.7 million, while that of Hongqiao International Airport rose 10% to 4.2 million.

Aircraft take-offs and landings climbed 10% to 45,863 flights at Pudong International Airport and 2.9% to 23,783 flights at Hongqiao International Airport.

Cargo and mail throughput at Pudong International Airport went up 7% to 330,500 tons, while that of Hongqiao International Airport rose 11% to 41,800 tons.

Shares of the airport operator rose less than 1% in recent trade.
