Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) subsidiary Macquarie Asset Management, through Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4, and Ferrovial agreed to sell AGS Airports to AviAlliance for about 1.53 billion British pounds, the investment banking company said in a statement on Wednesday.
AGS Airports, owner and operator of primary airports serving Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton in the UK, was established as a joint venture between Macquarie and Ferrovial after the airport portfolio acquisition from Heathrow Airport in 2014, the statement said.
The transaction is expected to reach financial close by the first quarter of 2025, according to the statement.
