Ex-senior official at China's securities regulator under investigation, says anti-graft watchdog

BEIJING, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Wu Guofang, a former senior official at China's securities regulator, is under investigation for suspected severe violation of law and discipline, China's top anti-graft watchdog said on Wednesday.

Wu currently serves as head of Guosen Securities'

investment banking business.

In a separate statement, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said Yao Qian, another former official at the China Securities Regulatory Commission, has been expelled from the Chinese Communist Party for violations including "illegally accepting large sums of money and property".
