BP (BP) has postponed the restart of a 435,000 barrel-per-day crude distillation facility and a coker in northwest Indiana, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing industry sources.
Reuters reported that the slowdown lifted fuel prices in the Chicago area.
The report said at least two of the units, a 250,000-bpd crude distillation plant, and the 102,000-bpd coker, suffered complications during the restart but are expected to be back online this week.
BP launched an effort to revamp the refinery in late September and began restarting units early this month, the report said.
BP did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
