Tech stocks were higher Monday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) up 0.4% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) rising 1.4%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 0.9%.
In corporate news, the Competition Commission of India instructed Meta Platform's (META) WhatsApp to refrain from sharing user data for advertising purposes with other applications owned by the social media company for a five-year period, Reuters reported. Meta shares were fractionally up.
Tuya (TUYA) shares jumped 6.8% after the company announced a definitive agreement for a strategic investment by 65 Equity Partners through the acquisition of about 13% of Tuya's total issued shares from New Enterprise Associates.
ServiceTitan said Monday it has filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of class A common stock. The company said it plans to list its class A common stock on Nasdaq under the TTAN ticker.
