Brookfield Asset Management Mulls $6.8 Billion Bid for Grifols

MT Newswires Live11-19

Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) is considering a 6.45 billion-euro ($6.82 billion) bid for Grifols (GRFS), according to separate statements Tuesday.

Grifols said the transaction committee of its board "has concluded that a potential offer at this valuation level significantly undervalues" the company.

A statement from Brookfield said the asset manager gave a non-binding indicative price of 10.50 euros per class A share and 7.62 euros per class B share of the Spanish drugmaker.

Brookfield said talks continue, adding that there's no guarantee that an offer for Grifols shares will be made.

Grifols shares slid 9.8% and Brookfield shares were marginally up in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
