MBIA (MBI) shares jumped past 10% in recent trading on Monday after Keefe, Bruyette & Woods upgraded its rating to outperform from market perform.
The firm also raised the price target to $9 from $6.50.
Trading volume stood at nearly 946,000 shares against a daily average of more than 358,100 shares.
