Sector Update: Tech Stocks Steady Premarket Monday

Technology stocks were steady premarket Monday as the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) was inactive and the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) was 0.1% higher recently.

Tuya (TUYA) shares rose past 12% after the company announced a definitive agreement for a strategic investment by 65 Equity Partners through the acquisition of about 13% of Tuya's total issued shares from New Enterprise Associates.

Wolfspeed (WOLF) said Gregg Lowe will step down as its president and chief executive within the month. Wolfspeed shares were up over 3% pre-bell.

Nvidia's (NVDA) new Blackwell AI chips are having problems with accompanying servers that overheat, Reuters reported, citing the Information. Nvidia shares were over 2% lower premarket.
