Hainan Airport Infrastructure's Passenger Throughput Down 4% in October

Hainan Airport Infrastructure (SHA:600515) handled around 1.8 million passengers in October, down 4% from a year earlier, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Saturday.

The number of take-offs and landings slipped 1.8% year on year to 13,024, while cargo and mail fell 2.9% to 6,438 tons in the same month.

The figures were from seven airports controlled by the Chinese airport company, including Sanya Phoenix International Airport, which handled 1.6 million passengers during the month, dropping 4.5% from the previous year.

On a year-on-year basis, its number of takeoffs and landings slid 2.4% to 10,496 flights while cargo and mail inched 2.2% lower to 5,053 tons.

The company's shares slipped more than 1% in recent trade.
