Morgan is not expecting much optimism regarding the PC space. \"Investors are likely to look for evidence of a PC recovery or expectations of one in HP’s guidance for FY25, where the recent backdrop relative to challenging PC volumes in [the third-quarter] is going to leave management with a tough choice to make in relation to the magnitude of a PC recovery to embed into the FY25 guide,\" analyst Samik Chatterjee said. \"That said, we expect HP to deliver near-term results that are roughly in line with, or slightly softer than, sell-side consensus estimates, while at the same time continuing to echo that the PC market recovery remains on track for FY25.\" Chatterjee kept his Overweight rating on HP, but slightly lowered his price target to $41 from $42. The stock is trading at 10 times forward earnings and is \"unlikely to generate much enthusiasm\" for an upside surprise. And with investors worried about the impact of tariffs, it's unlikely to see much upside soon, Chatterjee added. On the positive side, HP is still expected to grow earnings at a high-single rate in fiscal 2025, compared to low-single digits in fiscal 2024.
