Royal Gold Raises Quarterly Dividend by 12.5%

Royal Gold is increasing its quarterly dividend to shareholders by 12.5%, to 45 cents a share.

The precious metals stream and royalty company on Tuesday said its board of directors approved raising its quarterly payout to 45 cents a share from 40 cents.

The new payout, equal to $1.80 annually, represents a yield of 1.2%, based on the company's latest closing price of $146.29.

The quarterly dividend will be paid on Jan. 17 to shareholders of record Jan. 3.
