Food delivery platform Meituan (HKG:3690) plans to introduce drone deliveries to Hong Kong as it looks to make its system more efficient, The Standard reported Tuesday.
The company is seeking permission from authorities to carry out low-altitude drone flights since food delivery in the city can be tricky due to its terrain, and motorbikes are not always a suitable option, the report said.
