From the bulk of investor interest being in semiconductors to questions on why certain software businesses should still exist in five-plus years, stock picking has become more crucial than eve, the analysts noted. The analysts added that their coverage is relatively evenly distributed among companies, which have outperformed [ServiceNow (NOW), monday.com (MNDY) and Salesforce] the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV) (+29% year-to-date), those with year-to-date gains (Autodesk (ADSK), Veeva Systems (VEEV) Zoom Video Communications (ZM), Dayforce (DAY) Intuit (INTU), and Workday), and those with year-to-date declines, such as Asana (ASAN), Sprinklr (CXM), ZoomInfo Technologies (ZI) and Sprout Social (SPT). Salesforce (CRM) was initiated with a Sector Outperform rating and a $425 price target. Workday (WDAY) also received a Sector Outperform rating, with a price target of $340.
