Winfair Investment Expects H1 Loss to Shrink Up to 74%

Winfair Investment (HKG:0287) expects a loss of about HK$8 million to HK$12 million for the six months ended Sept. 30, a reduction of 61% to 74% compared with a loss of HK$31.1 million in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The company attributed the expected reduction in loss to the fair value gain on equity instruments compared with the fair value loss of HK$9.8 million for the same period in the previous year.

The security business plans to publish its detailed financial information for six months ended Sept. 30 by the end of November.
