Market Chatter: Shinhan Bank Issues Kangaroo Bonds Worth AU$400 Million

Shinhan Financial Group (KRX:055550) subsidiary Shinhan Bank issued AU$400 million worth of five-year floating-rate Kangaroo bonds in Australia, Yonhap News reported Wednesday.

The bonds were issued at 0.97 percentage points over the three-month Bank Bill Swap Rate. Shinhan Bank remains the only South Korean financial firm to issue Kangaroo bonds regularly since 2007, the report said.

Shares of Shinhan Financial Group fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
